Daina Tagavi, PhD is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the University of Washington (UW). She is also a Licensed Clinical Psychologist. She received her PhD in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and completed her Predoctoral Clinical Internship at the UW. Daina's work has focused on conducting and studying assessments and interventions for autistic individuals throughout the lifespan. In her current postdoctoral position, Daina trains educators in evidence-based interventions for autistic children being served at school. She also has her own independent grants that aim to redesign and test: a) a parent-training intervention for caregivers of autistic adults b) a remote assessment to track social communication behaviors over time. She is interested in continuing to support the development and implementation of tools that facilitate the effective and sustainable use of evidence-based interventions for autistic children in community settings.
