Emma Shanahan, Ph.D., is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Meadows Center for Preventing Educational Risk at the University of Texas at Austin. Emma's research focuses on elementary students with persistent literacy difficulties, data-based individualization of interventions, and supporting teachers' sustained use of intensive interventions. Prior to completing her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Minnesota, Emma worked as a special educator and response to intervention coordinator in Memphis, Tennessee.
