Alicia Okpareke is a Senior Research Associate with the Regional Educational Laboratory West at WestEd. In this role she supports state departments of education, districts, and schools in selecting, designing and implementing research programs and initiatives. Her work focuses on equity-based teacher professional learning and retention, accessibility and inclusivity in special education, and elementary literacy practices. Alicia is a former Education faculty member and middle-school teacher.
