Andrea Ford is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Ford’s research focuses on increasing the adoption and implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs) in authentic settings that support young children with language delays and disabilities. She is specifically interested in identifying and examining implementation strategies and supports that optimize the frequency, length, and quality of interactions critical for language learning. She adopts an interdisciplinary and applied approach driven by her experience as an early childhood speech-language pathologist in public schools. To complement this work, Dr. Ford also applies designs and methods, such as generalizability theory, to increase the reliability of behavioral and outcome measurements in investigations.
