Christel Rocha-Beverly is a postdoctoral research associate at Michigan State University and the Primary Investigator on two grants that focus on preparing high school students for post-secondary success in college and career endeavors. The first grant, awarded by the National Science Foundation's Programs for Innovation, will design and test a mobile application that gamifies information about college and career pathways for high school students. The second, an award by the Michigan College Access Network, focuses solely on game design and development for the app. External partners on these grants include Michigan Virtual, the Michigan Association for College Admissions Counseling, and the Lansing School District; internal partners include an MSU Foundation Professor in Computer Engineering and Spartan Innovations.
